Seasons of Change

“I was deciding on whether to leave my marriage and was stuck in indecision. My work with Alexia helped me learn to trust myself and listen to my own inner guidance and finally decide to move forward with my life.”

transitions

I love the in-between. The meadow before the forest. The shore before the water takes you under. Most people white-knuckle their way through these spaces, desperate to get to solid ground on the other side. I don't. Liminal space is where I do my best work — and where I can help you do yours.

There's a moment in Mary Oliver's poem "The Journey" — the one about finally walking away from the voices that keep telling you to fix their lives, to save them, to stay small and available to everyone but yourself. That moment, when you finally hear your own voice instead, keep walking anyway, and begin to do the only thing you could do — that's the work I do with people in transition.

“…little by little, as you left their voices behind, the stars began to burn through the sheets of clouds, and there was a new voice which you slowly recognized as your own…determined to do the only thing you could do—determined to save the only life you could save.” —Mary Oliver

Transitions ask something of us that everyday life doesn't. Divorce, motherhood, career reinvention, midlife, the quiet realization that a life you built no longer fits — these seasons strip away the roles and routines we use to avoid ourselves. What's left, underneath all of that, is the work: finding your own true voice, often for the first time, or for the first time in years.

I work with women and men navigating exactly this kind of threshold. Sessions are client-led. Some days we talk it through directly — I'm not afraid to call something what it is, and I use humor to help the truth land. Other days we move into the body: breath, stillness, nervous system work, whatever helps you access what your triggered mind can't reach on its own. Either way, my job isn't to rush you out of the in-between. It's to help you actually be in it, so you come out the other side as yourself — not as whoever the transition tried to make you. If you're in a season of change — wanted or not — and you're ready to stop resisting the in-between, this is the work I know best.

what i bring

Ten-plus years of teaching yoga taught me how to actually be in a body moving through change, not just talk around it. I bring breathwork, movement, and trauma-release practices into this work when your mind is too triggered to access what's underneath — because some of the most important shifts happen below the neck, not just in conversation. And when logic runs out, I also work intuitively — tarot and other tools that help name what you already sense but haven't found words for yet.
